The Extreme Personality Makeover For Women

©2008-2013 The Seductive Woman

“So many women just don’t know how great they really are. They come to us all vogue outside and vague on the inside.” - Mary Kay.

Hello my feminine lovely. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my 'extreme personality makeover for women.'

A personality makeover is a complete re-invention of your self.

In this particular makeover, you aspire to bring out your most positive, confident and RADIANT self.

Understandably, many women (including myself,) are drawn by shows such as 'Extreme Makeover,' 'Ambush Makeover' and 'What Not To Wear.' However, many women don't  just need a makeover for their looks, they need a makeover for their PERSONALITIES.

The kind of personality a woman has determines whether she's welcome everywhere - or regarded as a 'bore.'

The kind of personality a woman has determines whether her acquaintances find her charming - or uninteresting.

Are those whom you come in contact each day impressed with your pleasantness? Your range of knowledge? Your cultivation of the worth-while things? Your ability to think straight and speak well?

Do you want them to be impressed? And what traits make for a likable, attractive and pleasing personality?

The ten traits most frequently mentioned as making for an ATTRACTIVE and pleasing personality are;

1. Cheerfulness.

2. Friendliness.

3. Neatness/cleanliness.

4. Pleasantness.

5. A readiness to help.

6. Unselfishness.

7. A sense of humor.

8. Thoughtfulness.

9. Enthusiasm.

10. Poise.

The ten traits most frequently mentioned as belonging to an UNATTRACTIVE,  unpleasant, personality are;

1. Selfishness.

2. Untidiness.

3. Conceit.

4. Pessimism.

5. Un-sociableness.

6. Braggadocio.

7. Carelessness.

8. Disloyalty.

9. Frowning.

10. Complaining/shiftless-ness.

**These two groups of personality traits/habits are by what we are generally judged. Thankfully, however, the ten traits which were named as making for a likable, attractive and pleasing personality are traits which anyone can cultivate.

The simplicity of them all is amazing!

For example, cheerfulness and smiles are always appreciated by men and women, alike. What woman couldn't, if she truly desired, develop the habit of positivism and cheerfulness?

The Extreme Personality Makeover For Women - A New Positive Attitude

Besides a new hairstyle, a new wardrobe, and a new man (tee hee,) many women need a new ATTITUDE in life.

When Rachel, an attractive, but insecure young woman I knew aspired to get a new attitude, I suggested that she should;

1. Try to see an entirely new PICTURE of herself - a much changed picture of that 5"9, size 16 girl - who was currently hiding from society (due to a distorted body image.)

2. VISUALIZE herself as being confident, sexy and fabulous - as a size 16

**The 1950s bombshells - Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield and Sophia Loren - were all gorgeous, feminine and voluptuous women.

3. Summon up the courage to make the DECISION that she'd not let a 'handicap' of a distorted body image become her master.

4. Make the decision to EMBRACE her curvaceousness as her own special mark of distinction.

5. Start FOCUSING on (and forcing herself) to do things she really wanted to do, go places she really wanted to go, live an abundant and normal life....

Thankfully, dove, today Rachel is a striking, confident and VOLUPTUOUS woman! Just like the curvy female celebrities of 2012;  Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Queen Latifah,  Nigella lawson, Christina Hendricks....

Not only that, but;

1. She's now known and loved by many at her church.

2. After meeting her, people always remember the fire of optimism shining in her eyes.

3. Other women have been inspired by Rachel's constructive influence, and her new liberated attitude.

By ALTERING her attitude, and developing her potential abilities as a woman, Rachel turned a formerly perceived 'handicap' (curvaceousness,) into a mark of distinction and an asset for herself.

As she progressed toward the new goals she set for herself, Rachel managed to RE-INVENT and develop herself, and actually began to notice that the formerly perceived 'scrutiny' of the public had probably all been in her imagination - after-all!

**Just as many 'one-of-a-kind' celebrities and It girls have discovered their own unique style, and have set NEW trends for a certain image or look, so can you. Think of those striking female celebrities as guides that can inspire you to cultivate your own unique style. :-)

**You have your own UNIQUE face, body, style, gifts....

Celebrate your uniqueness, cupcake!

As Judy garland said; “Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”

  1. Thank you for this wonderful post!
    I have always visualized myself as a more confident person but I am always shy and reserved when I am around other people. With this I believe I can begin to become the more confident version of myself that I have been striving for. Again many thanks :)

  8. I have been struggling with anger as of late. I am quick to strike and slower to forgive. I like that you state this is a weakness. I see now that in my attitude not to appear weak, I've become weak. I can change this. Thank you for this insight. I always wanted to be like my grandmother. Kind and loving, yet never weak. Blessings Pamela

  11. Thank you Melina.
    I think you are amazing and write so well, I cant imagine the work it has taken for you to get here. I especially like the idea of being honest about my weaknesses and replacing them with a constructive habit. I am very irritable and impatient when I have problems, I will try to replace these with acceptance:)

  12. Awwww, that's so sweet of you to say, Lilly!

    Good for you that you'll deal with your weaknesses (we all have them,) with acceptance and GRACE. :-)

  21. Melina,
    First I have a question, I'm always concerned about being confident but I'm afraid of appearing to be arrogant. Confidence in myself is something that I've always aspired for, but how do I keep from becoming a woman that seems to exude aloofness?
    I really enjoy your blog. So much work you've put into it, I admire you for that.
    I'd love to see a photo of you so that I can place a face with your words.
    Thank you for this gift to all females. We need this especially in the area that I live. Girls seem so "tom-boyish" these days!

  22. Hi Melina. I just had to revist this post. When you first posted this I decided at that moment to apply this and create a new personality. Unfortunately, I am a person who gets easily distracted.I fell off and now it's seems so hard to pick myself up. But I will not let my Hegi-Negi personality get in the way of me trying again. So for the duration of this week I will work on optimism. Yes. I am in serious lack of it. Thank you so much for all that you do. I am an admirer of you. Thank you so much, your articles are quiet encouraging.
